I’m Cole Barker, and I lead Growth & Partnerships here at Blume. Before joining the team, I spent eight years at Qualtrics, working for our sales and market research team, with organizations of all sizes. Listening to their customers, understanding what makes people loyal, and seeing firsthand how small customer, product or brand improvements can completely change the way a business is embraced. It taught me how much the details matter and how meaningful it is when a business truly cares about the people it serves.
At Blume, my role is a mix of strategy and support. I lead outbound sales efforts, support project management and provide business consultation. That means everything from building new partnerships, improving client lead generation, and working hand in hand with customer’s to find ways to reach their goals. I really enjoy getting to know business owners, hearing what they’re trying to build, and figuring out how we can support them in a way that has a real positive impact on the business.
A major pain point I’ve learned is that many business owners feel like they’re left in the dark when it comes to Google Ads and SEO. There’s a lot of noise in the digital marketing world, and it’s hard to know who to trust. That’s why I love how we focus so heavily on transparency. Walking clients through what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and what results they can expect. We combine deep Google, SEO, & Web expertise with clear communication so our clients not only see the strategy but feel confident in it (and ultimately we let our results speak for themselves). It’s amazing what happens when you put yourself in your customers shoes and treat them the way you’d like to be treated!
My Qualtrics background in customer, product and brand experiences made me a bit of a nerd about how everything connects. The website, the ads, the SEO, the way customers interact with a business, how they convert and then come back for more. When those pieces click, you track every step and dollar spent, owners start to see AND feel the impact in a very real way, and that’s incredibly rewarding to be part of. Tangible growth and impact in action!
All of this starts with trust. We take our customer’s trust in us very seriously. When a client gives us a chance and then sees that we actually care about their business, that’s when the rubber meets the road. We’re a small team, but we work hard for the people who choose us, and I’m proud of that.
