Program Overview

Launch your career in B2B sales by learning how modern sales organizations generate revenue. Throughout this internship, you’ll develop real-world experience researching companies, prospecting decision-makers, conducting discovery conversations, and presenting Blume’s services to business owners.

By the end of the program, you’ll understand how sales pipelines are built, measured & managed – and you’ll leave with tangible accomplishments you can discuss in future interviews.

  • Part-time: 12 Weeks
  • Remote (Dallas-Fort Worth)

Compensation

This internship is structured as a 1099 contractor role with performance-based incentives.

  • Interns will receive commission from sourced business opportunities for the following:
    • Directly sourced opportunities:
      If an intern sources a lead that converts to a customer.
    • Opportunities sourced by Blume team from intern account research efforts:
      If a lead originates from an account executive working accounts that came from intern’s prospecting efforts or account research efforts.

We’re looking for coachable, motivated students or early-career professionals who enjoy talking with people, solving problems, and are excited to learn sales and how businesses grow.

Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help drive new business growth at Blume in a part-time role. This role is focused on outbound prospecting, generating interest, qualifying leads, and setting appointments with home service business owners.

You will be the first point of contact for many prospective clients and play a critical role in building our pipeline. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys sales, is comfortable making cold calls, and wants to grow within a fast moving agency environment.

You will earn an hourly base pay plus performance bonuses tied to qualified meetings and closed business opportunities.

 

What You Will Do

  • Make outbound cold calls (90% of your role) to prospective home service businesses
  • Follow up consistently through email and phone outreach
  • Identify and qualify potential clients for our services
  • Schedule meetings and demos for the sales team
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity and notes in CRM systems
  • Research local markets and identify new business opportunities
  • Work closely with your manager to improve outreach messaging and targeting
  • Help build and maintain a healthy outbound pipeline

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Comfortable making cold calls and handling objections
  • Strong communication and follow up skills
  • Highly organized and self motivated
  • Coachable with a willingness to learn sales processes
  • Ability to manage outreach activity consistently each day
  • Experience in sales, customer service, or lead generation is a plus
  • Experience in digital marketing or the home services industry is helpful but not required

 

Compensation

$20 per hour for 20 hours per week, plus a bonus for generating qualified sales opportunities and closed business sourced by you. Expected on target earnings of $30,000 to $40,000 annually, with top performers earning more. These numbers reflect what a strong performer can realistically achieve, not a guaranteed amount.

 

Schedule

This is a part time role, 20 hours per week. Hours are worked Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with some flexibility on the daily schedule.

 

Location

This is a remote role, but we are only hiring candidates based in the Dallas, TX area at this time. Occasional in person meetings for team planning and training may be required.
